Scope and Content Note

This collection contains Bible study aids and booklets from Jesse P. Sewell's personal collection. The collection also contains a photo album, dated 1956. The collection is housed in 3 boxes with the album housed separately.

Biographical Note

Jesse P. Sewell served as President of Abilene Christian College from 1912-1924. During this time, ACC secured status as a four-year college and experienced growth, in terms of both building and enrollment. After his term as president, he was appointed President Emeritus of the institution. He also taught Bible as Harding College. Sewell was also a gifted preacher and served in this capacity throughout his career.
