Scope and Content Note
The collection contains some of the personal papers of R.S. Bell. These include outlines and research of various topics relating to Church of Christ doctrine, correspondence, newspaper clippings, and tracts. The collection is housed in 3 boxes.
Robert S. Bell was a Dallas businessman. He served as accountant for several CPA firms. He served as executive vice president, president, and chairman of the board for Wyatt's Food Stores Inc., a company in Dallas, Tex. In 1955, Wyatt's Cafeterias spun-off from Wyatt's Food Stores. The company elected Bell as president and executive director at that time. In 1976, he received an honorary doctorate from Abilene Christian University. Bell was an elder at Preston Road Church of Christ, Dallas, Tex.
