"Helping People; Dieter" Originally trained to be an agricultural engineer, Dieter Alten, a German native, worked closely with American missionaries from a cappella Churches of Christ in their post war relief efforts. Alten eventually attended David Lipscomb College in Nashville, Tennessee and returned to Germany to work as a preacher in churches planted by missionaries from a cappella Churches of Christ. This photograph comes from a photo album put together by Katherine Patton, a missionary from a cappella Churches of Christ, during her work in Germany from 1948-1958.
