Scope and Content Note
Consists of various personal papers and materials belonging to Tom Olbricht. The collection's primary subject in Mike Richards and his mission work. Also contained in this collection is collected data from a missions survey.
Thomas H. Olbricht has been a minister in the Churches of Christ for over 50 years, serving as an elder for more than 20. He established the Christian Scholars’ Conference in 1981 to bring institutions of higher education together with Christian scholars from all academic disciplines. Olbricht taught and occupied administrative posts at the University of Iowa, Harding University, the University of Dubuque, Pennsylvania State University, Abilene Christian University, and Pepperdine University. He has given scholarly lectures on all continents except for Antarctica and has published more than 20 books and 200 essays in book and journals on church history, the Restoration Movement, biblical theology, rhetoric, and theology.
This collection is organized by subject. The first and second boxes contain book materials and various correspondences pertaining to the missionary Mike Richards. Boxes three and four contain missions surveys that are organized by state.
