Comments

Alexander Campbell was born in 1788 at Ballymena, County Antrim, about a mile from Shane's Castle which is seated on the north shore of Lough Neagh, a very large lake in the center of Northern Ireland. Jane Corneigle Campbell, Alexander's mother, had grown up in this area. This photograph of the castle's southeast tower was made facing south.
