Comments

Use photographs of locations in and around Glasgow to develop geographical awareness in students of the Campbell family’s history.

Comments

After finishing the 1808-1809 school year at Glasgow University, Alexander Campbell spent June and July, 1809, in Helensburgh, a seaside village northwest of Glasgow, tutoring children of Glasgow families who were spending the summer there. This view looks downhill toward the Firth of Clyde from William St just south of Argyle St. Visible across the Firth is the port of Greenock.
