"Dear Br. Lovell, Dieter Altenof Hamburg asked me to send a picture of me for a history of the work in Hamburg which you want to print in your paper. We sure appreciate your interest in mission work. Sincerely, Dieter Goebel" Dieter Goebel converted to Churches of Christ by Otis Gatewood as a young man in the late 1940s. Goebel was an orphan who lived in a Boys' Home in Frankfurt, Germany after World War 2 that was run by missionaries from American Churches of Christ. Goebel moved on to eventually become a preacher in Germany and then later moved to the United States of America.
