"Mr. and Mrs. P. Kharlukhi in memory of the wedding ceremony on the 30th December 1939. Presented to Mr. Glenn L. Wallace. (Turban or head dress is part of our national dress. Special importance is attached to this dress in wedding or their national functions. This was the first and the only time I wore this head dress.) Prenshon Kharlukhi, Shillong, Assam, preacher of the gospel." Prenshon Kharlukhi was the first preacher, indigenous or foreign, in Northeastern India associated with Churches of Christ. From 1939 to 1959 he planted 11 congregations in Northern India with a total membership of 250.
