Scope and Content Note
A small collection that contains some personal papers and objects belonging to John Parham Lewis. This collection also contains various issues of "Crusaders" and "Spring Boards" as well as miscellaneous papers, G.C. Brewer biography and a funeral guestbook. In addition, the collection includes an assortment of Lewes' books, sermons, notes, newspaper clippings, and letters (arranged by subject), and a scrapbook. The collection is predominantly handwritten notes on the Bible and Christianity. Also included are books. This collection is housed in one box.
John Parham Lewis was a Church of Christ preacher and teacher. He began preaching in 1921 at the Grandview Heights Church of Christ in Nashville. In 1948, he became a professor of Bible at Abilene Christian College.
The collection has been separated by material type.
