Description

These photos appear in the private scrapbook of J. B. Lehman, President of Southern Christian Institute in Edwards, Mississippi (1890-1933). They are photos of a woman associated with the school, Margaret Ferguson, who was "born a slave in a rich man's house." And "Now she is free and happy in one room of this cabin."
