The collection contains the sermon notes and outlines of G. Dallas Smith. The collection is housed in 7 boxes.

Biographical Note

G. Dallas Smith was a noted preacher and author. He began preaching in 1896 and continued to preach full-time until his death. He is the author of two books, "Outlines of Bible Study" and "Lectures on the Bible." He passed away in Cleburne, Tex. in 1920, aged 50. Lawrence L. Smith, son of G. Dallas Smith, was the Business Manager of Abilene Christian University from 1927-1969. In 1971, he was appointed Treasurer of the institution, and upon his retirement in 1972, he was named Treasurer Emeritus.
