Scope and Content Note

The collection consists of clippings from magazines, newspapers and books that concern the restoration history of the Churches of Christ and Christian Churches. The collection includes folders organized by State and congregation as sent by Mr. Pearson. The folder organization, labeling, and order of the collection provided by Mr. Pearson has been maintained with the exception of the removal and cataloguing of books and periodicals. The collection also includes a series of biographical index cards written and acquired by Mr. Pearson. The collection has been accrued from regular installments made by Gary Pearson.

Biographical Note

Gary Pearson was a minister for the churches of Christ for 27 years, spending his last years preaching in the ministerial position at Westminster Church of Christ in Baltimore, Maryland.

The collection is arranged in three series. Each series, biographical folders, note cards, and congregational folders, are arranged in alphabetical order first by state, then by city, and finally by congregation. Gary Pearson's original order has been maintained and most folders have been labeled by him.
