Scope and Content Note
Contains sermons by Larry James from 1975-2001 on single cassettes and multiple-tape sets; sermons by ministers who came to the church (Richardson East Church of Christ, Dallas, Texas) during James’ time there. Bound bulletins from Carrollton Avenue Church of Christ, New Orleans, LA (1975-1977) and Richardson East (1980-1994) were cataloged, along with a locally-produced song book from Richardson East (1994).
Biographical Note
Larry James was the pulpit minister for the Richardson East Church of Christ (sometimes known as Christians at Richardson East) for most of the span of this collection. Much if not all of this precedes his work with CitySquare in Dallas.

Arrangement
The collection was rehoused and reordered first by content: tape sets all together, individual tapes together, and then bound bulletins together. The tapes were then separated first by who taught the subject matter, all tapes that were not Larry James were grouped together and split into those before 1985 and those after 1985. Tapes belonging to Larry James were chronologically ordered, placing the dateless tapes at the end of the order. Lastly, the bound bulletins were ordered chronologically but were then sent to cataloging.
