Biographical Note

Biographical note excerpted from Find A Grave website:

“Ed Enzor, age 80, of Abilene, Texas, passed away suddenly on Monday, November 30, 2015, at his home in Abilene. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, December 4, 2015, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home at 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 5, 2015, at the University Church of Christ in Abilene, Texas. Burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park. Ed was born on October 10, 1935 in Washington, D.C. to Edwin and Marinette Enzor. He attended high school at Washington and Lee High School in Arlington, VA, received an undergraduate degree from David Lipscomb College in Nashville, TN, a Masters degree from the University of Maryland, and a PhD from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA. Ed met Norma Anders during her freshman year at David Lipscomb College and then married her in 1956. Those who know the couple know that Ed could not have gotten his upper graduate degrees without Norma’s research and writing skills. Ed and Norma moved to Abilene in 1958 where Ed began a career as a professor at Abilene Christian University, where he entertained many students over his 40+ year tenure. He also during that time served as President of Enzor Travel Service, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Global Samaritan Resources, minister at various churches in West Texas, including churches in Brownwood and Trent, and on the Board of many non-profit organizations.”
