This collection includes elders meeting minutes, bulletins, photographs, church directories, church attendance records, youth and adult Bible class materials, financial information, correspondence, and historical materials related to the Churches of Christ in Grand Prairie, TX.
Biographical Note
Vernon A. Jackson was born in Fairy, Texas on 31 August 1921. During World War II he worked for North American Aviation.
Ruthe Thompson Jackson was born in Fort Worth, Texas on 29 October 1920. She also worked at North American Aviation and there met Vernon. The couple married in 1944 and in 1947 founded Jackson Vending Supply together. The couple had two daughters, Xanna and Jorja.
The couple was active in their community and served at Burbank Gardens, Turnpike and Cross Point Church of Christ.
