Scope and Content Note

This collection consists of one of Alpheus Brown’s notebook, circa 1838, that contains handwritten transcriptions of historic Restoration Movement writings. There are also assorted and associated papers.

Biographical Note

Alpheus Brown was born 1792 in New Hampshire and lived in Connecticut, Iowa, and finally Ohio. He married Elizabeth Baker (1798-1858) in 1817. They had six children. He died in August 1864 in Ohio.
