Biographical Note

Howard Samuel Swann was born April 3, 1923 in Georgia. He attended Freed-Hardeman College and spent his life serving in Churches of Christ congregations in Georgia. Swann and his wife, Mary Alice Hartsfield Swann, had two daughters. The couple moved to Tennessee in 1996. Howard began working at Woodbury Church of Christ and did additional congregational ministry in southeastern Tennessee. Howard Samuel Swann died on January 22, 2013.
