Arrangement
The folders have been left in their original form and arranged chronologically. Loose items were given new file folders. The Neil Fry records were left in the original order and form in which they were received. Tapes were reboxed as needed in the original order in which they were received. Materials were kept in the order they were received as much as possible. Folders have been left with their original labeling, and non-labeled folders have been labeled in brackets to preserve the natural language of the collection. Any items with ambiguous abbreviations in their labeling were given additional context in brackets following their folder label.
The items are divided into five series, which are mainly topical in nature: Series I. Leadership, Series II. Financial, Series III. Missions and Courses, Series IV. Distributed Materials and Series V. Tapes. These are each subdivided as contextually necessary to give further context.
Series I. Leadership contains all the documents pertaining to leadership positions in the church, including elders and deacons, personnel, committees, etcetera.
Series II. Financial includes almost all documents pertaining to financial decisions made by the church, including budgets and financial statements, business meetings, deposits, property, construction, etc. Financial only includes almost all the documents and not all, because Missions and Courses have a subsection of financial documents related to mission work.
Series III. Missions and Courses are the majority of documents (outside of those in Leadership) that detail the educationally and physically beneficial works done by the church or church body. This includes curriculum, bible studies, outreach, retreats, leadership training, etcetera.
Series IV. Distributed Materials are documents whose main purpose is distribution to the congregation or are about the congregation. This includes newsletters, directories, attendance and membership records, and the Taste o’ Willis congregational cookbook.
Series V. Tapes are all recorded materials from Eleventh and Willis, a majority of which are tapes of sermons and Bible studies, but which also includes tape catalogues and a small number of CDs.
