Fred D. Gray, attorney for Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King, Jr., and E. D. Nixon, was minister of the Tuskegee (Alabama) Institute Church of Christ when it merged with the predominately white East End Church of Christ in 1974. Here he receives a Distinguished Service Award from Pepperdine University.
