Abstract
Abstract provided by interviewer Caleb Jackson.
This is an interview with a couple that met at ACU and got married after they graduated from ACU (Class of ‘89). They mostly speak about their experiences regarding gender roles at ACU, as well as their perspectives on ACU culture. Mainly during the 80’s and specifically during the AIDS epidemic, they share their experiences with understanding the gender roles they were under, as well as describing how they sometimes broke those norms.

Comments
The ACC/ACU Gender and Sexuality Project preserves firsthand accounts of alumni of Abilene Christian College (later Abilene Christian University), with particular attention to how students, faculty, and staff have experienced issues of gender and sexuality during their time at the institution. The collection began in Fall 2019 as a class project in HIST 340, Historical Perspectives on Gender and Sexualities.
