Abstract
Sally Gary narrates her story and experiences in Churches of Christ in Texas from the 1960s to the 2020s. She shares fond memories of church people who influenced her life. After college and law school, she returned to her alma mater—Abilene Christian University—to teach. After coming out at chapel in 2003, Gary continued her dream of launching a ministry that would help Christians navigate conversations about human sexuality. Gary talks about the ways in which her organization, CenterPeace, has been ministering to Churches of Christ congregations and families since 2006.
