Abstract
Dr. Kathy Joan Pulley narrates her story, which began in Springfield, Missouri, where she returned to teach religion at Missouri State University. After various educational and professional endeavors, Dr. Pulley was the first woman to preach at Brookline Church of Christ in 1984. Pulley became a leader within the Churches of Christ scholarly community. In fact, soon after the interview ended, Pulley realized that she had not discussed her involvement in the Christian Scholars Conference—a most important ministry in her life, beginning in 2007 and continuing up through the time of the interview.
