"1 and 2 are the buildings we are using now. 3 - The south half (50 feet) of new unit which we hope God will let us get finished and into before cold weather. 4 - just the top and chimney of kitchen and preschool classroom which is almost finished. Gladys and I are putting up the plastic board on the ceiling while bros. are in town for new baby. 11 tiny ones stay at our home til new house is finished." A labeled and numbered view of the Kalomo mission compound where Orville and Augusta Brittell, American missionaries from Churches of Christ to Zambia, worked. John Sherriff and W. N. Short, American missionaries from Churches of Christ, began the mission in 1922. Orville Brittell joined them in 1939 and married Augusta Scott, daughter of George and O. R. Scott who were also missionaries from Churches of Christ who worked at the mission station.
