A group photograph of students who attended the Canton Bible School. George Benson, American missionary to China from Churches of Christ, established the Canton Bible School in 1930, initially offering a six-week Bible course. The work eventually expanded to teaching Chinese Reading, Grammar, and Composition as well as vocal music. The school closed in 1938 when foreign missionaries were forced out of Guangzhou as the Imperial Japanese Army occupied the city.
