"Kamitomizaka Sunday School. Tokyo." A portrait of the women and children who attended the Sunday morning Bible class at Kamitomizaka Church of Christ. The Sunday school was opened in November 1907 and over time attendance by local children increased to seventy or eighty. The Sunday school remained open until the beginning of the Japan's involvement in World War II in December, 1941.
