These papers include a notebook from Bill Luttrell from a conference entitled “Growing the Church through Small Groups” sponsored by Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California, February 21-24, 1989.
Biographical Note
The following biographical note is excerpted from the Hamil Family Funeral Home obituary:
“Bill Luttrell, 90 years old, passed away on April 26, 2023 in Abilene, Texas.
Bill was born in Fannin County to Willard and Elva Luttrell. He grew up in Windom, Texas and graduated from Windom High School and received a bachelor's and master's degree from Abilene Christian University. He married Hazanne Wishard on February 2, 1954, in Bugtussle, Texas. He worked as a minister for churches in Louisiana and Texas, most notably at the Hillcrest Church of Christ in Abilene, Texas. He was an Air Force veteran who was stationed in Japan. He was involved as a Little League coach, attended all his children's activities, and Camp Red Oak Springs Director.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Elva Luttrell.
Bill is survived by his wife of 69 years, Hazanne Luttrell, Lynn and Sherri Luttrell (their children Annalee McCord and husband Evan, Sara Kate Jensen and husband Josh), Mike and Cheri Luttrell (their children Kacie Ononobi and husband Obi, Luke Luttrell and wife Madysen, and Cody Luttrell), Suzanne Barrow (her children Marka Sue Rogers and husband Jim, Brett Barrow, Carlee Barrow, and Brady Barrow), Keith and Betsy Luttrell (their children Lacey Gough and husband Hunter, Lane Luttrell and wife Riley), and Shannon Luttrell.
Bill is also survived by great-grandchildren Adelaide, Graham, and Mae McCord (born to Annalee and Evan), Piper, Malachi, and Saint Ononobi (born to Kacie and Obi), Deacon, Troy, Case, and Marilyn Sue Rogers (born to Marka Sue and Jim).”
