Scope and Content Note

This collection consists of material from Otis Gatewood's missionary career. The majority of the collection is composed of correspondence, papers, and audio and visual materials. In addition, plaques, certificates, pictures, photos, memorabilia, church directories, books, and scrapbooks are included. Some printed materials were removed and cataloged into the print collection as needed. Additional print materials will be likewise relocated and the collection condensed at a future date.

Biographical Note

Otis Gatewood was a prominent missionary and preacher in the post-World War II era. He was active in the European mission efforts and ministered in West Germany for ten years. He authored You Can Do Personal Work and There Is A God In Heaven and was a frequent contributor to lectureships and periodicals among Churches of Christ.
