This collection contains materials related to the creation and organization of church libraries.
Biographical Note
Callie Faye Milliken was born August 13, 1917 in Augusta, Texas. She attended Abilene Christian College and The University of Texas. After teaching high school English and serving as a public school librarian around Texas she became a librarian at Abilene Christian University from 1953-1977. As Associate Director she was in charge of acquisitions and special collections. Upon her retirement in 1987 the ACU Library Special Collections were named in her honor. She died September 30, 2006.
