This collection includes Hosse's sermons, sermon charts, teaching materials, information related to his short-term mission trips in Russia and Eastern Europe, personal and academic papers, and cassettes.
Biographical Note
Excerpt from obituary in The Tennessean:
“Paul William "Bill" Hosse was born on March 21, 1928 in Nashville, Tennessee, the son of Douglas Edward "D E" Hosse Sr (1900-1967) and Lela S (Boyle) Hosse (1898-1989).
Married on July 30, 1954 to Doris Ethel Harmon (1932-2018), he was an educator, minister and volunteer with 70 years serving in several ministries, from pulpit preaching in the Church of Christ to mission work in the Ukraine and Russia. With a PhD in Education, he taught at the men's prison in Nashville, Tennessee, specializing in English as a Second Language (ESL).
A resident of Nashville, Tennessee, Bill was 87 years old when he passed away on October 1, 2015.
Preceded in death by his parents and by his son John David Hosse, he was survived by his wife; a married son; two daughters and a son-in-law; and two grandchildren.”
