William Edward McDaniel’s papers include yearbooks and programs from Abilene Christian College and sermon charts, notes and slides from his years in ministry.
Biographical Note
William Edward McDaniel was born on October 21, 1923 in Odem, Texas. He attended Abilene Christian College where he received a Bachelor of Arts in 1944. He met Bettie Jo Yancey (1926-2020) through church and the two were married. They served churches in Brazoria County area and then in Aldine, Texas. The couple had two children, Jim and Jolinda. William passed away from a cerebral hemorrhage on April 3, 1955. Betty Jo worked as a teacher’s aid until her retirement. She passed away on March 21, 2020.
