The Bible in these papers belonged to Homa Franklin Burnett, father of Arthur Emmitt Burnett. There are also a few article clippings.
Biographical Note
The following biographical note excerpted from Burnett’s obituary:
“Arthur E. Burnett, 89, was born September 17, 1916, in Olustee, Oklahoma, and passed away January 9, 2006, in Phoenix, Arizona. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ruth, his brother, John Burnett of Atwater, California, his two sisters, Pearl Huggins and Ruth Autrey both of Oklahoma, daughter Darlene McCrory (and her husband, Francis), seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters, as well as four children, Glen, Paul, Mavis and Linda.”
