Aims & Scope

The Journal of Cross-Cultural Family Studies (JCCFS) is an electronic open access, peer-reviewed academic journal seeking to publish theoretical and practical research covering a variety of intercultural adaptation and transition concerns. While articles may focus on these issues, the journal values highlighting social units such as cross-cultural families engaging change and transition. The research is multi-disciplinary including but not limited to the fields of psychology, family therapy, sociology, social work, management science, anthropology, education, and communication.

The focus of the research is not limited in scope, but may include venues such as corporate, military, missions, foreign service, consulting, training, and international education. For example, research identifying stages of family repatriation, predeparture anxiety prior to relocation, Third Culture Kids (TCKs) adaption to a host culture, immigrant and refugee issues, and similar topics illustrate journal readers' interests.
