Abstract

A videorecording of an interview with Dr. F. Harold Wirth, a Dentist from New Orleans, Louisiana. The interview is conducted by Dr. Gary McCaleb of Abilene Christian University. After his retirement from dental practice, Wirth devoted himself to the subject of building trust in a dental practice. His message was that each person should be treated as an individual, and with respect and dignity. He taught dentists to get to know their patients and to find out what they were most concerned about and to help them get what they wanted. He believed that if dentists their job with the greatest care, skill and judgment, they will gain trust from those we serve. He believed this trust has great value and is the cornerstone of a fulfilling life in dentistry.
