Comments

Alexander Campbell was born in 1788 at Ballymena, County Antrim, about a mile from Shane's Castle which is seated on the north shore of Lough Neagh, a very large lake in the center of Northern Ireland. Jane Corneigle Campbell, Alexander's mother, had grown up in this area. The Camellia House was a garden room in use for elite families' parties during the period before the Campbells emigrated to the United States.
