The Campbell family lived on Broad Street in the Hutchinsontown neighborhood while Alexander attended Glasgow University 1808-1809. Broad Street was converted to a rail line that passes between the Glasgow Central Mosque and the Riverside College of the University of Glasgow and crosses the Clyde River via the City Union Bridge.
