Abstract
The relationship of the church and culture is anologous to that of an oil drilling platform built in the midst of an ocean. It must be capable of reacting to the mighty waves of the ocean evironment and yet remain centered over the well deep within the ocean. How is church to be responsive and related to the culture without being regulated by it?
