Abstract
Early Christians announced the in-breaking of God's kingdom as good news, not only in the message they proclaimed, but in the lives they lived. God's welcome in Jesus Christ became the welcome they extended to each other and to the world. Practicing Christianity in a contemporary culture characterized by individualism and competition will not be easy.
