Abstract
The challenge of 1 Peter and 2 Peter in the first century is also the challenge to Christians in the 21st century. The coming of God's future kingdom determines Christian morality in the present. Recognizing what is ultimately important, Christians live holy lives in the present as a witness to the surrounding culture.
