Abstract
Abstract provided by interviewer Kay Lynn Trader Stacy.
An oral history interview with Kay Lynn Trader Stacy, and ACU Alumna from 1988-1992. The interview talks about her experiences with dress code, gendered expectations, political climate of the school, as well as how ACU has changed as an institution. An oral history can provide a primary source regarding this period in ACU’s history, as well as give you insight into the mind of an ACU alumna from the late 1980s.

The ACC/ACU Gender and Sexuality Project preserves firsthand accounts of alumni of Abilene Christian College (later Abilene Christian University), with particular attention to how students, faculty, and staff have experienced issues of gender and sexuality during their time at the institution. The collection began in Fall 2019 as a class project in HIST 340, Historical Perspectives on Gender and Sexualities.
