Scope and Content Note

This collection contains handwritten Bible notes and class outlines, personal correspondence, correspondence with the University of Oklahoma regarding the School of Religion, as well as miscellaneous papers, G.C. Brewer biography and a funeral guestbook. In addition, the collection includes an assortment of Lewis' sermons, notes, newspaper clippings, and letters (arranged by subject), and a scrapbook.

Biographical Note

John Parham Lewis was a Church of Christ preacher and teacher. He began preaching in 1921 at the Grandview Heights Church of Christ in Nashville. In 1948, he became a professor of Bible at Abilene Christian College.
