Scope and Content Note

This collection, the personal papers of Theodore Orosco Norton, consists of five boxes of booklets, pamphlets, event material, maps, correspondence, and church bulletins. The collection also includes transcripts from radio sermons, sermon notes, church membership directories, Omagh Bible School history, and notes from Ted Norton.

Biographical Note

Theodore “Ted” Orosco Norton attended and graduated from Abilene Christian in 1928. He served several churches in various cities including Post, Texas; Colorado City, Texas; Sterling City, Texas; Victoria, Texas; Huntsville, Texas; Wichita, Kansas; Snyder, Texas Manhattan, Kansas; and Kansas City, Missouri. He conducted a weekly radio broadcast on KFH in Wichita, Kansas. He was the editor of the "Primary Quarterly" published by Firm Foundation Co. for eight years. Norton was a member of the Board of Directors of Central Christian College until 1952. Wrote a column for a daily newspaper. He also served as an advisor for Alpha Iota and met with the Council of Religious Advisors at Kansas State University.
