This collection contains some of the personal papers of J.D. Hall, Jr. This includes correspondence, articles written by Hall, and personal notes on the church. This collection is housed in 2 boxes.

Biographical Note

James D. Hall, Jr. was born in 1904. In 1949, he form the Ready Home Doors company. This became the Visador Company, which specialized in specialty doors and windows. The company was based in Jasper, Tex. He served on the Board of Trustees for Abilene Christian College from 1946-1948. He died in a plane crash in Jasper, while flying home from a business trip to Dallas. His son-in-law, Thomas R. Bell also died in the crash.
