These records include institutional documents, course materials, event materials (such as recording of the annual Sermon Seminar). Academic catalogs, books published by the Christian Studies Press, and some recordings were removed and cataloged.
Biographical Note
The Austin Graduate School of Theology began as an outreach of the University Avenue Church of Christ to students at the University of Texas. Through iterations as the Bible Chair and the Institute for Christian Studies, they offered formal coursework and ministry to university students, seminarians, and ministers seeking additional credentials and training. Lipscomb University (Nashville, TN) acquired the school and through a process of restructuring offered coursework in Austin under the auspices of the Lipscomb University, Austin Center. When Lipscomb closed the Austin campus in 2022, these records were transferred to ACU.
