Scope and Content Note
The box contains papers that were written and kept by professor Tony Ash while he was a student at ACC and USC and while he was a professor at Pepperdine and ACU. It includes sermon manuscripts, book manuscripts on the Gosepl of Luke and Prayer, notes, class paperwork, correspondence, papers he wrote as PhD and Master's student, papers he edited and kept from his PhD peers, papers he received from students as a professor, and several casset tapes with some written by Ash.
Biographical Note
Dr. Tony Ash was a professor of Bible. He was on the religion faculty at Pepperdine College in 1962 and the Bible faculty at Abilene Christian College for ten years. Served at Pepperdine University as head of the Religion Division until 1975. He also served as the pulpit minister at 11th and Willis COC as well as Minter Lane COC

Arrangement
The collection is housed in 8 boxes and has been received in chunks overtime. Most of his letters have no arrangement. His cassets are divided between ones where he speaks and ones where he does not. Otherwise, the serires has been arranged topically, with biblical notes arranged canonically, classes are organized into individual folders, teacher administration is organized into one folder, and class papers are arranged together. Although this order was added to the collection, most of the collection was kept in the same condition as it was sent by Ash.
