Scope and Content Note

This Collection consists of administrative, financial records, university policies, student life photos and records, Scrapbooks, Newspaper clipping, VHS, Cassette Tapes, all regarding the Northeastern Christian Junior College and Ohio Valley University.

Biographical Note

Northeastern Christian Junior College served the Churches of Christ from its founding in 1957 through 1993 at which time it consolidated with Ohio Valley University. When the College first opened in 1957 the College was referred to as the Northeastern Institute for Christian Education. Ohio Valley College was formed in 1956 and its first year of enrollment was in 1960. In 2005 the college name changed to Ohio Valley University, and in 2021 the School closed due to financial difficulties.
