Comments

St. Patrick's Church of Ireland was first founded in 1578. The current building was built in 1866. This photo is made of the south side and east end of the church, with the west tower with its four spires rising on the west end. Thomas Campbell was born near Newry in 1763. Many of his family remained in the area and several are buried in this churchyard. Thomas also ministered in Sheepbridge near Newry. His brothers Archibald and Enos had a school in Newry where Alexander was both a student and, later, a teacher.
