Comments

Thomas Campbell was born near Newry in 1763. Many of his family remained in the area and several are buried in the church yard of St. Patrick's Church of Ireland. Thomas also ministered in Sheepbridge near Newry. His brothers Archibald and Enos had a school in Newry where Alexander was both a student and, later, a teacher. Newry lies in two counties on either side of the Clanrye (or Newry) River: County Down on the east and County Armagh on the west.
