Description

Historic Independents' Meeting House, Richhill, Armagh, UK

Comments

Use photographs of locations in County Armagh and Down to develop geographical awareness in students of the Campbell family’s history.

Comments

While Thomas Campbell and his family lived in Richhill, they sometimes attended evening meetings of the Independents at this building at the foot of the hill where Main Street intersects with Maynooth Road. There they heard Rowland Hill, James Haldane, and John Walker. Since the Seceder congregation at Ahorey did not meet on Sunday evening, Thomas was free to visit this congregation.
